Stefan Roos, a classical guitarist born in Locarno, Switzerland, has performed solo and chamber music in the United States, Switzerland, France and Italy. 

Mr. Roos began studying classical guitar at the age of 8. Over the course of his career, he studied in Paris, New York and San Francisco with some of the world’s most preeminent Classical Guitarists. Among others, he studied with Alberto Ponce in Paris and with Grammy Award-winning guitarist Sharon Isbin at The Juilliard School in New York where he graduated with a Graduate Diploma. Before graduating from the Post Graduate program PSD at SFCM in 2011 he won 4th prize at the Portland International Guitar Competition.

In 2015, he taught at the Music School “SPML” in Locarno, Switzerland. In the United States, Stefan Roos has performed, among other venues, solo and chamber music at the at Lincoln Center in New York City. 

Today, Stefan Roos resides in La Jolla, California where he teaches privately.
